Fantasy and 40k have different Warp mechanics, hence why wizards don't get turbofucked by Chaos. Also it made Fantasy kind of pointless. They're connected in the multiverse sense, but having Warhammer Fantasy in the 40k universe meant that WF just didn't matter. It's one world in a universe where they go through planets like popcorn.
