The Savoia S.21 is a pure piece of fantasy, it never existed in real life. The model is painted and marked as a flying boat of the Royal Swedish Air force in the late 1920s. For the flying surfaces I used Vallejos Game color No 102, Steel grey. Engine is painted in Vallejo Model air No 56, Black grey, struts are Vallejo Model air Black No 57.

Savoia S.21 (Seaplane) My rendition of the Savoia S.21 Seaplane from the film Porco Rosso. I went for accuracy first whilst keeping functionality in mind. It features airbrakes binded to action groups 1 and 2, and both are used when landing. Use the first group for slowing in the approach, and the second to slow down faster once grounded.

This is my Savoia S.21, it's one of my favorite planes in my fleet. I built it from Dollar Tree foam, it has a 36" WS and AUW of about 22 oz. It's powered by a 45 gram 1700kv outrunner and a 3 cell 1000 mAh lipo. It flies great off of grass and has taken off once from water as well.
